I called and talked with couple of people at Vonage Canada about possibility of adding a second box and second phone number to my existing account. They both said that I could for a monthly charge of $15 a month, I could have a second phone number and a second box.
So I went ahead and ordered the second line and second box and I got a confirmation for the charges for making the order. Since I never got the second box (device), I called to find out what is going on. First I was transferred to 3 different agents which had to confirm my identity first and pull up my account, review the order before they told me that they could not help me and had to transfer me to another person.
Eventually, when I did get the right person to talk to, she mistook me for an account holder in US and then told me that I could not do such a thing and I had to make another order. She also didn't want to refund me for the charges on my account for the virtual number that was added on my account.
Does anyone out there know if there is such a plan that Vonage Canada offers where you can get a second phone and a second box added to your account?
I do need a second box because I need to have the line added in a different location.

Well according to the Vonage Canada site you can. Vonage Canada
Ordering More Phone Numbers is Easy
Once you have established your Vonage account, it is easy to add more numbers.
1. Login to your online web account. 2. Visit the "Billing" section. 3.
Click on the link "Add Additional Line". 4. Choose the area code and region you want. 5. You'll have the option of acquiring additional Phone Adapters or adding the lines to equipment you already have. We can ship new equipment anywhere you want in Canada. |

I guess my call was transferred to the call center in US which doesn't know anything about Canada. But this is so stupid, the person told me that it was not possible and I had to cancel my order. I guess I have to call Vonage Canada Monday morning to take it up with them.
Does anyone know if the customer service from Vonage Canada work on the weekends?
Better training for the call center staff would highly be recommended.

They are there 24/7, they are in Mississauga Ontario. I never had a problem understanding them. |
