Post subject: VPN to work with Nortel Client Fails
I have searched all the forums and came close but no cigar on this issue.
My setup;
Vonage
IP8100-2
Time Warner Cable Road Runner Service
Netgear WGR614 v6 wireless router
VPN using Nortel for access to work LAN
Wiring and connections as follows;
From Cable modem to netgear router
netgear router to ip8100-2 and main computer
Laptop on wireless
Problem:
When I try to VPN to work, I can not get a connection unless I disconnect the IP8100-2 from the network. It just hangs. I disconnect and it connects right away.
I tried moving the ip8100 before the router, same result.
Any where I can look and learn or suggestions?

Searching through past posts leads me to believe there might be a conflict on port 10000. You may want to try specifically forwarding port 10000 in your router to your PC and see if that helps and if your IP8100 still works.
