We have a remote location that is requiring up to 5 lines. They are currently using 2 lines. I was thinking about picking up 2 additional PAP2 devices for this. I know I will need a switch as well. The site is currently using the WRTP54G router for the 2 lines.

They will have up to 7 people using the connection with up to 5 lines running concurrently. Would it be best to buy a different router? Would that router be capable of handling all of that traffic? If not, are there any suggestions? The modem has QoS built into it and it is set to prioritize the Voip traffic. The Voip traffic is also set at a dedicated rate. I am worried that the router will not be able to handle all of that traffic.

I think your worry is well founded. I would invest in a good router for this setup. Whether it will then be able to handle the traffic depends on how good the router is and on how good your internet service is. The experts in here seem to like the Linksys WRT54GL running third party firmware. Do a search on WRT54GL, member NateHoy, and tomato (one of the recommended firmware packages).

Vonage has some new devices that not only handle 2 lines, but you can upgrade to a 2liner w/4port switch for about $10.
Upgrade Possibilities

With a couple of these, you could piggyback and gain extra lines.

How does the D-Link VTA compare to the Linksys PAP2 device? Are they pretty much the same?

Yes, they are pretty much the same. I haven't heard many complaints about either.
