I'm trying to resolve problems with my new Vonage setup but when I try to run the Voip speed test to get results it says I've hit maximum permitted traces. Try again later.
I tried last night and figured when I woke up this morning I'd be allowed to run another test but still unable.
Why is here a limit on number of tests being run, especially when someone is trying to resolve a connection issue before an old phone number is switched over to the Vonage account

I'm trying to get all the numbers provided by the Vonage forum Voip speed test as asked for by the sticky. I've got a problem with 63% packet loss the way I'm configured now. modem >Belkin Pre-N router >PAP2phone adapter >phone audio is very choppy. Every other word dropped.
When I disconnect from the router and phone adapter and just go from the cable modem to the computer my packet loss is at 0%.
To get help on the forum I need all the other numbers as requested in another post I made <Belkin Pre-N and PAP2 phone adapter>
The test at http://testyourvoip.com/ fails everytime I try. |

I tried to do a Voip test from this site just now and here are the results, note that I get 10 Mbps down and around 600 Kbps upload with my cable internet. I have never had this bad of results from this Voip test, must be a problem.
Speed test statistics --------------------- Download speed: 117552 bps Upload speed: 609888 bps Quality of service: 10 % Download test type: socket Upload test type: socket Maximum download pause: 1724 ms Average download pause: 333 ms Minimum round trip time to server: 50 ms Average round trip time to server: 51 ms
Voip test statistics -------------------- Jitter: you --> server: 5.1 ms Jitter: server --> you: 8.2 ms Packet loss: you --> server: 0.0 % Packet loss: server --> you: 1.8 % Packet discards: 0.0 % Packets out of order: 0.0 % Number of supported Voip lines: 1 Estimated MOS score: 3.6
Now here they are from another Voip site:

This suggests a problem with the Belkin. If it's running a firewall, try turning it off temporarily and trying again.

That's odd. Does this also happen when the computer is plugged directly into the modem? Does the site give any reason for the failure? |
