what do you guys use? since Vonage offers voicemail, a message machine is useless, yet it seems like every quality phone out there doesn't offer just the phone with a minimal base, i.e. no message machine/speaker phone/etc, just charger.
just want a phone that's headset capable and has a speakerphone on the handset. nothing else matters.
anyone? |

I just got the Panasonic 5.8 ghz digital phone and it works great. It has a speakerphone and voice enhancer and voice mail direct access. There's no answering machine, which is what I wanted, because we don't need one. The clarity is really good. Check out the reviews. The one I got is model #KX-TG5421. It's silver and is nice-looking too

I have the V-Tech IA-5849, this has a base with 2 extra handsets. The base plugs into the Vonage adapter or your router and the 2 handsets just plug into a power outlet anywhere in the house, works so you don't need to use the phone jacks.
With this phone if you answer with the main phone you can transfer the call to one of the other handsets. Once on the phone no one can listen on the other extensions. Has in use indicator and also voice mail indicator. You can select 3 types of ring tones or shut off the ringer, you can program the phone directory, I believe up to 50 names and numbers. Also has volume control.
I have had no problems with interference with this phone. |
