Ah, well that's easy. You just need to make sure the rest of your house wiring is disconnected from the wiring from the phone company that goes up to the DSL modem, and you can still use the house wiring to distribute
Vonage
.
One way to do that is to just splice a dedicated phone cable into where the phone company's feed comes into the house, and bring it directly to the DSL modem and install a phone jack just for the DSL modem. Then disconnect the rest of the house jack wiring where it branched off from the phone company's feed where you spliced in the new line just for the DSL modem. Put some electrical tape around the bare ends of the disconnected house wiring so it doesn't accidentally short out later on and affect the
Vonage
signal.
Plug the
Vonage
adapter into the remaining house wiring and it should work fine, and you've still got your phone company connected up to your DSL modem. At that point you won't need those special DSL filters on any of the remaining house jacks either.
Now here's another issue you may not have considered, if you haven't signed up for
Vonage
yet... are you keeping your current phone service turned on along with the DSL service on that wire, and if not, have you checked with your current phone provider to see if they will let you have DSL and not have a phone number to go along with it? Some won't let you drop the phone service and keep DSL going.
