Looks like it will end up closing at $6.02* for the day with volumes more than double the normal daily average. What made today different than any other day? Were employees/insiders finally able to dump their shares? I know that there are at least a few people still reading this forum. Any thoughts?
* Just remember, $6.02 is still $.07 above the low for the session ($5.95). <rolleyes> |

There has been a selloff in the last 2 days. I to am curious as to who is selling. Does anybody know?
I am thinking about buying this stock. I have already bought some at $6.50. $6.02 looks even better and who knows it may go even lower. I should be thanking everyone who has been giving this stock a bleak outlook. It is creating a great buying oppurtunity. Its funny how everyone says they don't like a stock after it has gone down. If the stock doubles everyone will say they liked the stock back when it was at $6. |

Well I won't say sources but if you look at the companies structure it looks like this to me:
They are building a huge customer base for future holdings They are offering a too low of price (to be profitable), they are losing money daily.
Why lose money daily? They are looking for a buyer, the company looks great to a buyer because they hold a huge share of the market and offer a descent service.
As far as the stocks it would definitely be a huge risk because you can wait out the losses and hope that they get bought, and reap the hopeful gains at that time, or you can go under with them. It all depends on if they sell or not. So take your chances if you would like. Just remember it is still a really new market to stock exchange and could very well be bought out in the near future with all of the new and emerging Voip companies out there.
Just a thought to think about |

Maybe. But...
According to 2006 quarterly data http://finapps.forbes.com/finapps/jsp/finance/compinfo/IncomeStatement.jsp?tkr=VG&period=qtr,
between Q1 and Q2/06 selling, gen. & admin. expenses increased by over 100M WOW!. At the same time, advertisement went from 88M down to 0M. No advertisement expenses??? Vonage??? An accounting oversight? Did they finally decide to invest in engineering to make this technology actually work like a real phone - without dropped calls?
Regardless, this company is still bleeding cash faster than a speeding bullet.
And even doubling the customer base won't be enough. |

We have incurred increasing quarterly losses since our inception, and we expect to continue to incur losses in the future. |

I guess it was biased and probably a little unethical for me not to source that last quote.
It was taken right out of the prospectus from the SEC filing for the Vonage IPO.
What this stock does really will really be unknown. Sure everyone hopes that it will increase, but it's still a stock -- and with that it is always a gamble.
You won't read much from me in the stocks forums. With my own questions as to why the IPO was priced where it was, my opinion is such that those that take the most issue with the stock price decline spent the least amount of time in due diligence. |
