Hello. I've been having no issues with the v phone since I purchased it quite some time ago..until today. whenever i load the device in the usb port, the software doesnt load. I tried manually clicking on the icons in the Vonage hidden folder, yet it still doesnt load. I am running Windows XP SP2. Any help would be great. Is there a way to reset the thing? Thanks to all |

Also whenever I attempt to either restart or shut down my computer i get a "SJLabs Taskmanager Window" closing window in which im forced to 'end now' before the computer actually restarts itself. |

Is there a way you could try your v-phone on another computer to eliminate the computer itself as a possible source of the problem? |

Yes I tried that idea today and the same thing happened on 2 different computers...which suggests that the actual flash drive itself is corrupt or contains corrupt files? is there a way to download the contents of the pre-installed software online somewherE? THanks |

I have USB 1.1 integrated on the motherboard, and a USB 2.0 PCI card.
The Vphone always used stall and lockup my system in the middle of a call, when plugged into the USB 2.0 port, and I wouldn't be able to reload it without rebooting. Since I've plugged the VPhone into the mohterboard's USB 1.1 port, I've had no issues at all. |

I have the same problem. It appears to run with the splash screens but the taskbar icon never comes up. Looking at processes shows VonageTalkUSB is running though. When shutting down it has the same ending program someone above mentioned. The solution azn offered does not work for me.
I wonder if Vonage thinks enough of its customers to get someone in the forums to answer some of these issues... |

I had the same issue - here's the fix:
The V-phone requires 2 "drives" to work properly. In my case, it was calling up drives "E" and "F". On my system, I have 5 hard drives as well as many mapped network drives. This was causing one the V-phone to call up 1 drive, only to not find the next drive in the next letter down in the alphabet.
What you need to do is go into the control panel and access the admin tools application. From here - go into "disk management". Should 2 2 drives for the v-phone. You'll need to manually map 1 or both to a new drive letter(s) that is not being used - preferably to 2 letters back to back alphabetically.
hope that helps. |

Besides needing two consecutive driver letters, delete 'Options.ini' file in the software partition. |
