I'm curious to hear from others who may be having this exact same problem.

I am unable to make international calls. We constantly receive fast busy signals when trying to call our daughter in the Czech Republic. We can make and receive calls within the USA without any trouble. A soon as we try to dial overseas however, the calls fail. We sometimes redial 50 to 70 times before we can get a line overseas. Is Vonage under-subscribing their lines? Is anyone else having this trouble?

A call for tech support advanced through three levels. The technician used a Vonage line to dial the number we were trying to reach and had the same trouble, fast busy signal. Then the same technician used a Verizon line that they have in their office (that's right...they have a Verizon line in-house) and he got through to my daughter with no trouble. The technician admitted that this was indeed a problem in the Vonage system and not with my phone or internet connection. I was told it would be fixed and I would hear back from them via email within 48 hours. 240 hours later I have not heard back from tech support and the problem still exists.

I hope you got a trouble ticket number. We had this problem when we first got Vonage. I had to dial 10 digits instead of 7 and we couldn't call over seas.

Vonage did fix the problem, but I can't remember now how they did it.

NO...no trouble ticket number. I thought about that as soon as we hung up. My guess is that's why I haven't heard back from anyone.

Without a ticket number, they will NEVER call back and most likely won't get anywhere...

Sorry for the confusion. I meant to say that I had trouble calling in North America, I always had to dial the 10 digit number even for a local call.

There was also a problem with us calling international, and yes I was dialing the 011, country code and the sort. They fixed both problems while I was on the phone with them, but it did take sometime to get the right person for the job.

If it really is an issue with an international carrier that Vonage uses, then it may take some time to resolve. Carriers can have multiple levels of underlying carriers and it sometimes takes a day or two of carriers contacting their underlying carriers before the even get to the person who is actually responsible for the route that is failing. Once that happens the carrier then has to look into the issue and find a way to resolve it, and by the time they get back to you it may be a week or more down the road. 10 days is not unheard of in resolving a carrier related issue, and they would get in-touch with you when it is resolved. If they didn't give you a trouble ticket number then as the previous posters said I would be unsure that this process has even been started for you.

I am also having problems with international calls. I have been trying to call the UK from the US for the past couple of weeks and I always get the same message"All lines are temporarily busy"." Domestic calls are fine. Not sure what's going on. How could lines be temporarily busy for 2 weeks? Day and night?
