Still looking for answers to solve our continuing CID problem. We've replaced the Motorola with Linksys but the problem persists. I've tried a suggestion from over on Broadband to disable call waiting, wait five minutes, cycle the modem, resellect call waiting. Still have the problem.
We have two lines here. I called one line from my cell phone and get an appropriate name and number. I call right back and get out of area. I repeated the process with my son's cell phone. Identical results -- call at 3:30 shows full correct name and number. Call at 3:29 same cell phone shows "out of area" and the number. Then doing the same experiment on our home line, which was ported from BellSouth, call at 3:31 shows name. Call at 3:29 does not.
Again, our caller ID worked almost flawlessly from 12/03 until 6/04. Now it's almost 80% of the time a number with unknown caller or out of area. It's not related to time coding.
Is anybody else having the same problems? If so, I would appreciate hearing from you via email so I can try to find the answers with tier 3 support. They're as stumped as I am about it.

Hello. I'm not sure if this is the same problem. I have 2 lines going into a Vtech wirelss phone, one Voip and one Verizon landline. If I plug one or the other line into the phone, my CID works fine. If I plug both lines into the phone, neither CID works. Vonage tech support said that it has something to do with the small voltage associated with the landline. They did not give me an appropriate solution, but they were fairly certain that was the problem.

no, mine are both Vonage lines and although they share the same Linksys AT, they have separate phone systems.
