Hi all:

I am using WRTP54G(Broadband router with 2 phone ports) and initially for 1 week it works fine.I switchedoff router for 3 hours and then switch on again and then my Routers Interet LED is not glowing.

Tried connecting the ethernet cable directly from my broadband modem to laptop and internet works fine.If i use the same cable to my WRTP54g Internet port the LED is not glowing also internet is not routing through router.
Even i tried to reset the routerby pressing reset button for 4 seconds but still nothing works.

Also i couldnt access 192.168.15.1 webpage

I dont know what went wrong????

when you say switched off, do you mean you turned it off via a powerstrip or something? i know that the devices in a network are kind of volatile, make sure you turn on your modem first, wait a minute, then the next device, wait another minute, etc...

Otherwise you get Zeroconfig ip assignments on the devices because the internet may not be up & running.

Thanks for yoour promptness.

I switched off the power of modem first and then router.
Now my only problem is Internet is not working through router but if iconnect cable directly from my modem its working fine.

INTERNET LED IS ALSO NOT GLOWING INMY WRTP54G(WHICH MEANS INTERNET IS NOT COMING TO ROUTER).

even i cant debug becausei am not ableto launch 192.168.15.1 address?

Do a hard reset on it. Hold the reset button down for about 30 seconds with the power on. Make sure that your computer is set up to get its IP dynamically, and plug it into a LAN port on the WRTP54G. Make sure that your cable is good- use the same one that allowed you to get onto the internet using just the modem. Cycle power. If you still can't access the admin page, then I would guess that the unit is dead.

Steve:

I did like what you siad but i dont know my router gets resetted.I pressed for 30 seconds but no changes still my internet LEDn not glowing.When i connect my ethernet cable to port 1 or 3 the light glows but internet LED light is not glowing this signifies may be the internet port is not working i guess.

I set to obtain IP Address dynamically and my computer is automatically configured to IP Address:169.254.27.194 & Subnet mask:255.255.0.0

But my IP Addressand subnet mask should be different.

still not ablt o accessadmin page.

Is there anyway to open my router to repair it...

Yes, your IP address and subnet mask should definitely be different. That router seems to be quite sick. I'm afraid there isn't much that you can do for it.
