I did search on this forum but didn't find much that can apply to my situation. I have had the same configuration with Vonage for the last 2 years and 8 months without any problem, but I'm having a difficult time to get my dial tone back. I have tried to reboot modem, router and vonage adapter many times to no avail. I also tried to login the vonage adapter's web interface and reboot.

Light on adapter is solid green.

Setup: cable modem -> SMC wireless router -> motorola vt1005v
ISP: Comcast

From the Vonage adapter web interface:

Software Version: VT20_02.03.00_A
Bootrom Version: VT20_02.03.00_A
Hardware Version: Model: VT1000 Revision: 0 BSP: 1.2/0
Config File Version: 1161673173338/1002204617

What happens if you plug the Motorola directly into the cable modem?

That didn't help either.

Out of line 1 of the Motorola adapter, I have a splitter, one line goes to a phone, the other line is plugged to the wall plate so the whole house is wired. After trying many things. The work-around is actually to disconnect the line from the wall plate, immediately I get dial tone from the phone, then plug the line back to the wall plate, now I have dial tone on every phone in the house.

Strange but it works.

That's what it sounds like. What do the phone lights on the adapter do when it's misbehaving like this?
