Take a look at this screenshot:

In the email I received, it had a scheduled completion date of January 4th! I'll respond back when it finishes.
I am transferring from SBC Business to Vonage.
I'm not really sure if this has anything to do with it, but we had 7 lines on SBC...
Vonage has been abosolutely amazing the past three years I've had it, and it just keeps getting better...! |

Wow, I also initiated my port on 12/29 and thought it was a mistake when I got an email saying my port will happen tomorrow. I am transferring from Verizon to Vonage.
So is everything being routed properly to your Vonage line today?

Everything actually seems to be working perfectly with the routing and all, even from another SBC/ATT phone...
Congrats on getting yours done pretty fast too!

I got my "Transfer is complete" from Vonage a couple of hours ago, and calls to my ported number are working properly.
Considering how long it takes some people to get their ports completed, I am amazed that my port was completed in exactly one week (including the New Years Day holiday). |

Here's mine, from Verizon: Updated Date: Number Transfer Progress History: Required Action February 1, 2007 Awaiting Letter of Authorization February 1, 2007 Letter of Authorization (LOA) Received February 1, 2007 Letter of Authorization (LOA) Accepted February 1, 2007 Transfer Sent to Carrier February 2, 2007 Carrier Approved Transfer My switch is scheduled for the 12th. I switched my billing from paper to credit card via the Verizon site on the same day, directly after starting the transfer process. If this goes smoothly and is done this quickly, i'll be extremely pleased. Especially after reading about all the headaches some verizon users have had. |

Today is my transfer due date.
As of 9AM, calls from within Vonage to the ported number were still going to the Verizon line.
It's now 10:26 AM, and although there is still dialtone on the Verizon line and outgoing calls work, calls from within Vonage and from Verizon and other carriers are now going to Vonage. Even if I dial the ported number from the Verizon phone with that number, calls go to Vonage.
I'm happy, and am about to begin the process to port another Verizon number.
Hmmm. Just got a call from a 732-946 number. Looks like it might have been Vonage calling to verify that the port was working. They went into the DECtalk device I have connected to the line. They only stayed connected for about 4 seconds, though. About enough for the DECtalk to say, "Hello, this is John Covert..." |
