Post subject: Vonage Trace Route
You can see that the timing delays are very high in my trace route below and that the (*) symbols indicate excessive timing. Your trace route looks much better than mine.
Good Luck!

Hawking Tech. Broadband Booster

This should solve your problem..No matter what your router. If outgoing call quality is an issue this will definitely help..I have several computers networked with a WRTP54G and when running BT or Azureus the outgoing quality is choppy.

Post subject: Thanks for the HBB1 Tip
The Hawking HBB1 is an interesting approach. I'll look into it after Time Warner makes their PR visit.
It would stabalize the bi-directional throughput to a certain degree but I want to pressure RoadRunner to fix the bandwidth and routing drop issues first . If not, I'm ready to drop them and go to Verizon FIOS.
If optomizing the provider doesn't fix it this month, I'll try the Hawking HBB1 approach.
On another issue, to provide broad wireless coverage throughout my house last week, I purchased the Hawking HSB2 signal booster and boosted my router output from 70mw to 500mw. I dumped the Linksys WRE54G range extender as it would loose it's settings almost daily and the setup was very flaky..
