I recommend you follow Steve's configuration. I also recommend you ensure all the LAN subnets are different on each router. Someone already suggested doing this with the VTs, but check to make sure the BEF's is unique as well.

With regard to your last question, don't change anything with respect to the BEF's WAN port. If you have a static IP address defined, leave it there, if it's DHCP, leave it.

Ok just to make sure that I'm following you I will walk through it to make sure.

1 leave my static route in the linksys and give it a LAN ip of maybe
192.168.15.1 and plug router directly into the cable modem

2 Take first VT and give it a LAN Address of 192.168.16.1 and plug internet ethernet port into Linksys router
3. Take second VT and give it a LAN address of 192.168.17.1 and plug internet ethernet port into the linksys router

4 Done? Can the PC stay on the same subnet as the linksys. just out of shear curiosity why can't they all be on the same subnet if they have a static route to the web?

Thanks again

Yes, yes, yes, done. You can connect your PCs to any of the three routers you like. They'll all give out IP addresses via DHCP. The two VTs technically could have the same LAN subnet since they will both NAT all devices behind them, but it's not good practice.

Another two suggestions. Since you have the BEF as your gateway to the Internet, you can turn off both NAT and any built-in firewall on the VTs. This will make communications b/w devices behind the VTs easier (no port-forwarding, etc.). To do this, you'll need to take things a little farther.

1. Assign a static address to VT#1's WAN port in the 192.168.15.0/24 subnet, say 192.168.15.2, mask 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.15.1.

2. Assign a static address to VT#2's WAN port in the 192.168.15.0/24 subnet, say 192.168.15.3, mask 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.15.1.

3. Configure static routes on the BEF for the 192.168.16 and 192.168.17 networks. 192.168.16.0 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.15.2. 192.168.17.0 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.15.3.

In my opinion, this will give you the best setup. FYI, if you need to specify DNS servers on VT#1/2 when you configure the static WAN address, use whatever you have defined in the BEF's WAN setup.
