I have an Actiontec (by Qwest) DSL/router and two Motorola VT2442 Voip modems (two phone one fax). It was all working an hour ago...
My laptop was returned after being away for three months on a job with my husband (yeah it works pretty hard!). Prior to leaving, it was networked - no problem - to my desktop and wireless internet.
I hooked everything up six months ago and it was all working: 3 phone lines, one network, one eternet internet connection (through the VT2442) and one wireless internet connection.
My laptop won't even see the Actiontec now (yes wireless is enabled) and I've tried many things.
Tonight I unplugged everything... EVERYTHING... and didn't bother writing down how I had it. Now I can't get the internet to work on my desktop. I am currently plugged directly into my Actiontec (which means no phones... not that I care at 11pm).
I tried searching this site and came up with nothing. Any help please? With ANY of my issues??? Can anyone recommend a place I can go to get help with my laptop?
Thanks - Karen |

Hi
Looks like there are some settings on your laptop that were modified. Im not really sure what is wrong but its definitely something to do with your laptop, some of the wireless settings on your laptop maybe frayed. te best thing to do is call the manufacturer of your laptop, and ask assistance on how to get the previous setup of your laptop.
Hope this helps. |

Please post all the technical details listed in the sticky message at the top of the forum. Give us details about how you currently have things cabled together. |
