D-Link VWR Known Issues - YIKES

September 7th.......still no fix?

Why put dates when the new firmware is going to be done if they aren't even close to accurate.

Such a pain to reset this thing......isn't like one of the 5 things a router needs to do is "retains settings during a reboot"?.

Think it's almost time to jump this ship before it sinks.

My VT2442 stopped working and after spending 45 min's on the phone with tech support the determined that the box was dead and they would be sending me a refurb D-Link Reconditioned VWR-RB.

I was told because I was such a good customer they "upgraded me" to the VWR-RB. After reading thru this forum it sounds like I am in for a world of headaches with this unit.

Have all/any of the issues been resolved? Should I even bother taking it out of the box ot should I just return and asked for a non-wireless unit?

Excerpt from Vonage level-5 support:

The 12.0 firmware deployment has started for other TI chipset devices and additional issues were found in QA with the 12.0 firmware on the VWR. Even though the problems were found, the deployment is still scheduled to go forward. The lost settings problem is resolved in the release but there may be other things that will occur. I have not been given a new time frame for the deployment. It is not listed on the Deployment schedule list so I am not even able to give you a tentative date.
