Your round trip time is pretty high. What happens if you plug your VT2442 directly into the modem, leaving the Linksys out? |

When i plug the VT2442 directly into the modem, I lose my internet, and when I pick up the phone, there is a voice telling me that "the Vonage device cannot contact the Vonage network." I forgot to mention this in my first post, the voice quality is poor usually whenever a computer is on in my home. I have two computers and they are both connected to my router via Ethernet cables. When both computers are shut off, the voice quality is normal. |

your upload speed of 136 kbps is barely abouve the 90 kbps required for a good phone call. If ANYTHING is running on your computer, you could experience voice problems.
Bandwidth saver set to the middle setting might be good enough to get you a decent call... if nothing else is running... and may help a little if something is running such as spy/mal ware. |

I am going to call up Verizon and see if they can increase my DSL speed for a decent price. Hopefully, thats what the problem is. |

That could certainly be it. I should have mentioned that with DSL it's probably not a simple matter of just plugging the VT2442 directly into the modem. It needs to be set up on its WAN side to meet the requirements of your DSL service. If you set the Linksys up for that, you probably know the drill. |
