Premium rate calls, billing error?

My parents were billed on the 24th december, and have noticed a whole line of premium rate 0901 calls all made (some in the same minute) on 17th december....between 11.42-11.54 pm.....both my parents are in their 70's and were sleeping then. Also strange that no other calls were listed that day too!. I have called Vonage CS and they were trying to tell me it was a mobile...clearly they dont understand european numbering schemes, as I promptly replied that all uk mobile numbers being 07. I had to explain to the CSA that 09 numbers are like american 900 numbers. After a while of confusion, they eventually credit the calls back.....quite rightly so. Has anybody experienced this billing error.? Eek

No I have experienced such an error, but I have started top look around to check if I could get a better way to make calls elsewhere and found www.reallyjustdial.co.uk

I know of some people who get billed £1.50 per minute from calling 070 Phone Numbers! Its not supposed to happen but some checky monkeys re-direct their 070 number to a £1.50 line without informing the Premium Phone Numbers Provider. ICSTIS the regulator is usually very quick at shutting them down and refunding users money though but never the less keep an eye on your phone bill.

Premium Rate numbers are trouble

there should either be an option to block these numbers from being dialed or they should be blocked automatically unless the user specifies them not to be.
