I've been having a on going problem for about 6 months now, but now its gotten worse. I use Vonage for my business lines. I have 3 phones lines plus a virtual 800#.

My Vonage keeps clicking (like you're hanging up) and I almost lose the call, or it clicks twice and the call is disconnected. I don't seem to lose the internet connection to my computer and that light stays on on the router, the cable modem lights stay on, but I loose both phone lines and those lights go out on the router. I then have to wait about a minute or so to get the dial tone back. I have a linksys RTP 300. I contacted tech support and they thought it was a router issue and sent me a new router. It's still is the same.

I've had Time Warner come out and check my lines this week and everything is fine. I also have a 2nd router (Dlink VTA-VD) that has a 3rd line that I have on auto forward to my first line. I just keep it connected so it will ring once and forward over so I can distinguish where the call is coming from. I don't know if that's relevant or not but I thought I'd include it in case it was.

I've also replaced the modem last month to see if that was the problem. Still the same issues. Its a motorola sb5101. I also bought a Hawking broadband booster. Which seems to give me better clarity on my calls but it still does this clicking thing.

All my readings are good. I just tried to re-run and paste it here but it says I've exceeded the maximum amount so I appolgize those are in the post. I ran it quite a few times this morning to see if it was changing. It was pretty constant. all readings came back good standard quality on the packets/jitter. 7+Mbps download 400kpbs upload, qos 70-90%.

Is anyone else getting these clicking sound or hangups like this? It doesn't happen every call and is totally random when it happens. I can't pinpoint why its happening.

As an alternative to the speed test on this site, you can also use www.testyourvoip.com - run the speed test on that site, go into the detailed results, and copy-and-paste all the numbers.

The most interesting numbers would be jitter and lost packet percentages.

Your outbound packet discards are a tad higher than I'd want if I were you.

Tell me about your network.

Are you running these tests when the network is in regular, routine use? Can you run the test on a single computer hooked directly to your Internet connection (with nothing else in between)?
