I'd recommend posting this in the Feature Request Forum |

I do not think that that would be a good idea, due to most people went with VoIP, due to they do not want others (ie creditors, or ex's) to know where they are & what their numbers are. |

I got my service due to lower costs - not to hide - but the last thing I would want is something I'd have to remeber to opt out of to protect myself from misuse. Once numbers are posted somewhere, they just get harvest by people you don't want having them. |

I don't think it's fair to assume, (nor do I think it can be proved)-- that people would go to VOIP to hide.
I too got my service for lower costs. An appealing part was being able to pick my area.
As far as a phone book. I do not see that as an easy undertaking. Given voip's and specifically Vonage's higher turnover rate, any printed directory (no matter what level) would probably have 10% bad listings by the time it got on the doorstep. |
