Post subject: IP8100-1 expandable with multiple handsets?
I bought the IP8100-1 from
vonage
and was wondering if it is expandable with multiple handsets, and if so, how many? Is the 8100-1 and 8100-2 the same phone just the -2 comes with an extra handset instead of having to purchase them separate?

You can have up to 4 handsets on that device.

Yes that is correct. The VTech phone system is the same regardless of the two options. The IP8100-1 has 1 handset while the IP8100-2 has 2.
You can expand up to 4 handsets by purchasing them direct from VTech. Once you have the new handset, simply enter the base ID (the number on the bottom of the base) to register the handset and use it.
