I am having a problem installing "Click To Call". I have downloaded the software but when I select the "Run" option a window opens asking me which program I wish to open with (and lists various media players, worpad and internet explorer). I have no idea which to open it with. Help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Run the Vonageclick2call.exe program. Follow the instructions in the wizard. You have the option to choose the directory in which you want to install Vonage Click-2-Call.
Launch Application To start Vonage Click-2-Call: Click the Start button. Select Programs. Select the Vonage folder. Click Vonage Click-2-Call
The Vonage Click-2-Call application gets registered in the Windows System Tray in the form of the Vonage Icon.
The Vonage Click-2-Call icon in the System Tray Using Click-2-Call You can start the application in the following ways: Press the Hotkey(default is F6) Double-click on the System Tray icon Right-click on the System Tray icon and select ‘Show’ Menu When you start Vonage Click-2-Call, a Vonage icon will be installed in the Windows System Tray. You can access the different screens of the application by either double-clicking on the System Tray icon or by right clicking on it. Right-clicking on the System Tray icon will pop up a menu with the following properties:
Show - Brings up the Vonage Click-2-Call application in the foreground. Switch Identity - Lets you log off and log on with a different Vonage account. Disable Hotkey – Enables/disables the response to the Hotkey on the keyboard. Preferences - Brings up the ‘Preferences’ screen so users can modify functionality. Exit - Terminates the application and closes the current Vonage session. Login The first Vonage Click-2-Call screen will prompt for a username and password. The username and password is the same to access your Vonage Web Account.
Clicking ‘Cancel’ will cancel the Login screen and clicking ‘Hide’ will hide the Login screen. Place a call A user-specific list of numbers is shown in the “From:” drop-down on the screen. You can select a number from that list in which to call from. Then you enter a number to place calls to, and click on the ‘Place Call’ button.
You can either enter the phone numbers directly or select them from any text application and press the hotkey. Selecting the text and pressing the hotkey will popup the ‘Place a call’ screen and transfer the selected text to the “Number:” field in the Vonage Click-2-Call screen. If multiple phone numbers are selected, the numbers will be populated in the form of a dropdown list. You can then select a number to call by clicking on the “Place Call” button.
Clicking on “Hide” will hide the “Place a call…” screen.
Once a call has been placed successfully, you will see a confirmation message. Preferences The preferences screen can be used to configure various options in the application.
Current Hotkey: The Hotkey is used to start the Click-2-Call application: The key displayed in the field is configured to be the Hotkey. Enable Hotkey: Configuring the application to respond to the current Hotkey. Launch with Windows: The application will start when Windows is launched. Save Password: This allows you to save usernames and passwords for future use. Enable Quick Call: When enabled, will dial the number directly upon selection.

This will pop-up the Vonage Click-2-Call application and transfer the selected phone number onto the “Place Call…” window. Click the “Place call” button to make the call.
The hotkey works with all windows-based text applications including Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, Notepad, WordPad, etc. Placing Calls using Microsoft Outlook Click-2-Call also comes with a built-in Microsoft Outlook feature that installs a button onto your Microsoft Outlook interface that can be used to place calls to the contacts in your address book.
‘Vonage Click-2-Call’ toolbar
Click-2-Call Toolbar/Menu item The installation of the Vonage Click-2-Call application will also install the “Vonage Click-2-Call” toolbar and menu item in Outlook. These buttons can be used to place calls to contacts in the address book of Microsoft Outlook.
The phone numbers of the selected contact will be shown in the “Number” field of the Place Call screen, and You will be able to select one of the numbers and place a call. You can update the Number drop-down list and add any number he/she wants to call. Using the Hotkey within Microsoft Outlook You can use the Hotkey to start the Vonage Click-2-Call application and directly place a call. To do this, you can select a phone number within the contacts folder of Outlook and then press the Hotkey. This functionality is similar to the way the application would respond if a call were placed for a contact with just one phone number. |

Not sure of the purpose of click to call. I think it is fast just to dial the number in the phone, or better yet program your phone. |

I've got to lookup the number in MS Outlook anyway, might as well click one more button and have the phone dial. |

That is another problem with the program, you have to use Outlook. I just programmed my phone with my contacts. |

Search the forums and you may find some troubleshooting tips from the past. I recall vaguely something about using all uppercase or all lowercase for the password and/or username.
You can try manually logging into the click to call servers with a web browser by following the instructions found https://secure.click2callu.com
Good luck. |
