(also choppy connected directly to modem)

Upload speed: 373,760 bps
Quality of service: 10%
Download test type: socket

Max download pause:690 ms
Average download pause: 71 ms
Min roundtrip time to server: 38 ms
Avg round trip time to server: 62 ms

Jitter: you-->server: 10.0 ms

I typed it in from a printout because when I went to run test to cut & paste I had reached my maximum tests.

Your packet losses are very high and your max pause is very long. Plug your computer directly into the modem and repeat the test. If you get similar results, then the issue is with your internet service provider.

No need for additional testing on this one.... You've got one of the dreaded Toshiba PCX1100 modems... these are known to drop packets left & right when used with P2P, Voip, and remote-access applications. Drag the modem to the nearest Time Wanker office and tell them it doesn't work (mention something about a power hit) and they'll quickly hand you a new modem, probably a Motorola. Everything will work fine then.

Thanks for the help! Unfortunately, I did not read the last post until just now when I decided to post an update!
I had a Time Warner tech out to my house twice this week. First time he came while I was at work and just replaced the cable from the splitter to my modem. Today he came (Saturday) and ended up replacing the modem. At first he wanted to blame things on the fact that the inhouse wiring came across the length of my house to my office, saying there was a significant drop in signal level. I kept showing him that my speed was less than DSL. Finally he replaced the modem with a Toshiba PCX2200 and all is well!
