Post subject: V-Phone with HP Pavillion Broadcom chipset WLAN
Hello! I read some of the topics in here regarding the issue of using the V-Phone with an HP Pavilion notebook and a Broadcom Wireless LAN. I am having the same problem. Once wired, it works well, but wirelessly there is no sound on either end of the call.
Well, I just got off the phone with
Vonage
"Advanced Technical Support" and I was told that they are now aware of the problem. It seems that there is an inconpatability issue with V-Phone and Broadcom, and they are taking steps to fix it. The rep told me that it will take from 2 to 2 1/2 months to get the problem fixed and I should call occasionally to see the progress of such a problem.
Has anyone else been told the same? Well, until then, I am resigned to be attached to a wire once more.....No Starbucks Coffee!
Any thoughts? Do we have any legal means to demand any type of refund or credit to the account for their mistake?
Thanks!
