Tell us more. What have you changed to static- your computer, the VT1005 WAN configuration, or what? How are things networked? Is the phone working?
Please include the details listed in the sticky message at the top of the forum. |

first, i change to IP Public, the terminal VT1005 working and the phone have a tone, but the terminal VT 1005 must be conect direct to internet.
i want terminal VT1005 connect to Coorporate LAN/Wan (internal IP, with access internet thru proxy server), so i change to internal IP (10.2.8.22, 255.255.0.0, gateway 10.2.8.1), and i save the configuration. when i connect the terminal VT1005 to LAN Port, ip terminal VT1005 cannot be found at 10.2.8.22 or with default ip gateway 192.168.102.1. |

Did you disable the VT1005's DHCP function? Is the computer that you're trying to plug into the VT1005 set for static or dynamic addressing? Is the phone still working? |

I don't think it's damaged. Is the phone working? |

Please give us the rest of the technical details listed in the sticky at the top of the forum. Connect your computer directly to the modem to get on the internet and run the Voip test.
Not being able to connect to the computer does not imply that the phone won't work. However, since it isn't, it means that we probably have two problems. First, the WAN side of the VT1005 probably isn't connecting to the internet (or you would get phone), and, second, the LAN side of the VT1005 isn't compatible with your computer network setup, since you can't connect to the VT1005.
You say that you already disabled DHCP in the VT1005. Do I correctly conclude from that that you once were able to connect to the VT1005 admin pages? Is the computer currently set up for static or dynamic? If static, what address is it? |

step 1. a. connect vt1005 pc port directly to computer, login thru web (IE) and change default IP 192.168.102.1 to internet public IP (202.155.115.xxx). (static IP) b. connect line1 to analog telp c.connect vt1005 wan port to internet. d. the voice terminal vt1005 working and can dial a phone
setp 2. a. connect vt1005 pc port directly to computer, login thru web (IE) and change static IP 202.155.115xxx to internal cooporate IP 10.2.8.xxx, 255.255.0.0, gateway 10.2.8.1 b. connect vt1005 wan port to LAN Switching.
since i do step 2, the VT1005 cannot connetc with computer and don't have a dial tone . |
