Post subject: REBATES!!!
I bought my
Vonage
VT1005 from Circut City over 6 months ago. I did send my rebate to the address listed on the form. As of today, I haven't received my $50 rebate back! I've checked the rebate site and after entering my name and addr, it tells me submission not found! I called the
Vonage
helpdesk and they haven't been able to be of any help so far!
Has anyone else encounter the same issue? Other than the
Vonage
CS tel#, there is no other sources on the rebate form to call. Any idea how I can resolve this issue?
Thanks!

Is
Vonage
actually handling the rebate they or is it a fulfillment company, such as rebateshq.com?
Second, did you make copies of all the rebate forms, receipt, and UPC code that you had to send in? If you did then I would email the company that is handling the rebate and state that you have not received the rebate, and that you have copies of all the forms and ask them what needs to be done in order to expedite your rebate check. If they state it's not in their system and must have been lost in the mail then email them back and state you will be contacting your State Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau about this situation.
The larger rebate companies have an appeasement department that handles "lost" rebate submissions and when they see Attorney General and BBB in the same line they get moving.
You can also go to planetfeedback.com and leave feedback there, too. Not matter what do not let them get away with not paying the rebate, just keep calling or emailing them so they know you are still actively pursuing the rebate.

to my question. There is no phone# and email address for the 3rd party handeling the rebate. The only thing I got is the "web-rebate.com".
Vonage
finally under pressure provide me with a fax#. I faxed all copies to them, but don't know the status since I have no phone#.

Post subject: Rebate
I bought my
vonage
device at Circuit City. I sent in all the appropriate rebate paperwork within the time period specified. Today I got a postcard denying my rebate because "Purchase was made outside the qualifying period." Nonsense !
I feel I've been cheated. When I finally got someone at customer service on line, I was told to research it at the Circuit City web site. There's nothing there to research. It's seems clear that this is a scam.
I intend to kick and scream until they fix this.

I signed up for several business accounts (4) online and used this
vonage
-forum.com/sign-up.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" class="postlink">
Vonage
Coupon link found right on this site. You find your rebate (free month) on the summary page at the end, just before your credit card gets charged.
I have never got a rebate from Best Buy, CompUSA, Staples or Circuit City. I gave up on that a long time ago. Plus, they want you to mail in the original receipt??? Ever try and show a "copy receipt" to the TAX MAN? And, they (the rebate company) want the UPC bar-code off the box. Try returning the box to the store with the UPC bar-code label missing!
This is not a
Vonage
Rebate issue; this is the marketing of rebates in general. It is a fraud game played by the retail giants in America, which will come full circle if people complain to the BBB and the Attorney General.
You are better off ordering it online and not being charged in the first place and getting the rebate upfront, rather then waiting around for a check that never comes.
I hope this helps people in the future; sorry that it does not help you, beowulf.

Post subject: I got my rebate, heres how you can get yours too!!!
All,
I too have waited 6 months for my rebate with countless calls and emails to
Vonage
but to no avail.
Finally i did some research and found the following story (http://www.ecommerce-guide.com/news/news/article.php/2228361) about how the FTC (Federal Trade Commision) got involved when another company took too long in rebating people.
After discussing this story with a
Vonage
employee they were able to connect me to a supervisor who approved my rebate on the spot and promised to have my cheque out to me within 2 to 3 weeks.
I encourage you all who are having problems to do you best in discussing this with
Vonage
but if they are not sympathetic to your needs then file a complaint online with the FTC at this link,

To clear this all up...there is NO fraud going on with our rebate program...I know of many satisfied customers in this respect. Our rebate program is handled by a fullfillment company in Ogden, Utah. When a rebate submission is incomplete or in error of some sort, they usually send out a postcard explaining the problem, AND the credit card has the RESUBMISSION address on it, which is different from the original submission address. I have these addresses on my computer at work. If u call

-HELP (1-866-243-4357) or 1-732-650-6699 and ask for me (Joe Scott), and I will give it to u.

Joe -
Unfortunately for you, I have written proof of your company's lying ways. You can talk to Ed Banaag (Executive Response Team) about your company's inability to be truthful.
My first complaint to your company was on Dec. 1. I was told the rebate was in the process and was being held up for an unspecified reason. On Dec. 7, I was told my rebate would be sent in 5-7 business days.
It is Dec. 22nd and still no rebate.
From Ed's e-mail this afternoon:
"They show that the rebate has been processed, but has not yet
been sent out. "
If anyone is interested in joining me in a lawsuit against
Vonage
, reply to this post.

I don't think JScott is lurking in this forum anymore. After the tirade he unleashed last week we haven't heard from him since. I wonder if someone at
Vonage
caught wind of his post?!

I haven't gone anywhere. And if u call that slight venting a "tirade", then u must have been very pampered as a child.
