Trinijoy, I pity your position. If you are an employee of the company, I can understand why you rant about all the 9 causes...

and yes I strand by all that I have wrote in this forum regarding my follow up on Vonage rebates and my experiences.

You can make out as if the customers are the "stupid ones" and keep making mistakes and thats why they do not receive their rebate on-time. That positon will only cause your company to loose in the end. Ho Ho Ho. Lol The motto for all companys is always - customers come first and because of Customers that the company exists. Forget that and you forget you may no longer be working.

Stop barking at genuine customer issues. Instead take the time to go and solve such problems. And yes, re-learn in your rebates 101 class that for some retail purchases, you do not need the MAC#. Also Free Money huh? I know - TurboTax rebates are the best. You get them within a month of filing and that too direct deposit in the bank. People can understand the volume of such tax rebates and how soon they get processed Vs such rebates for which you spend 9 months waiting which is all ways to part you from money....hoping you forget...hoping you change address within the 9 months...... I could go on and give 9 flimsy excuses!! Wink

I activated at the end of September 2005 and my rebate is stuck in the "We have received your mailed submission and we are now waiting for the required service period to be completed." mode.

Sent an email to CustomerService@gfsinc.com and am waiting for a reply.

Tried calling Vonage to get the phone # to contact GFS - after 1/2 of MOH decided to give up.

I was hoping the rebate would show up alot sooner, and am happy with the Vonage service overall. I half expect that once the rebate moves to the next step it will say something like "Rebate processed! Wait 21-487 weeks for it to be mailed. Rebated should be received in 6-9 months after they are mailed." arggg.

I fully understand the concept of the rebate people/manufacturers making interest on your money while they hold on to it for months, but gees this is not much of an incentive to buy anything without an "instant" rebate. Netgear and everyone else is quick about it...

I sent this email to Vonage customer service on the 4th:

Who do I contact to check on my rebate? The web-rebates.com/vonage
site says it is waiting for "service period". I've been a loyal
customer for over 100days now and would like to get the rebate moving.
Thank you-
Jake

Just now I got a reply:

months for further processing. In total,it requires 5 months for the
process to be completed.

Well, I am happy to report that I received a rebate check for $75 in yesterday's mail. I was supposed to receive a $75 Visa card, so I don't know if they are now sending out checks to everyone instead. Makes no difference to me.

All is well that ends well. Be persistent and you will get the rebate.

I had the same problem with Vonage. I did the free Linksys router rebate where you got 50.00 for staying with them for two or three months and got another 50.00 for trading in my AWSOME Dlink router. They screwed up and entered in the wrong MAC address and sent me a card saying that there was a problem. I called them and they said they fixed it. After a while I called again and they said I was too late. The then told me to send in my info again. Still I have gotton only 50.00. Wheres my other 50.00 VONAGE!!! I am tired of trying. This Linksys router **** like all other Linksys crap. Pray for a Dlink Vonage router...it is our only hope Sad

To clear this all up...there is NO fraud going on with our rebate program...I know of many satisfied customers in this respect. Our rebate program is handled by a fullfillment company in Ogden, Utah. When a rebate submission is incomplete or in error of some sort, they usually send out a postcard explaining the problem, AND the credit card has the RESUBMISSION address on it, which is different from the original submission address. I have these addresses on my computer at work. If u call Vonage Customer Care at 1-VONAGE-HELP (1-866-243-4357) or 1-732-650-6699 and ask for me (Joe Scott), and I will give it to u.

Yeah I hear ya spouting that crap but I dont see anybody doing anything. I called you guys because YOU GUYS typed in my MAC address wrong and YOU GUYS said you fixed it. Then somebody else said to send in copies of my rebate info. Still to this day I have received only 50.00 of the 100.00 that you were supposed to send. So I am out not only the money but my wonderfull Dlink router that I traded in. It is a run around much like when we have problems. Where's my REBATE at....in the bank earning you intrest!!!

Hey you! Yeah, you, with the big mouth above me. This forum was created for the purpose of helping people with Vonage-related technical problems, not for you to call out respected members of the community. If you have a technical issue fine, if not, it's not too professional to just pop up as a noob on an "unofficial" Vonage-related site and start bashing people.

BTW, Dlink is garbage. Linksys rules the school!

Dan, I think this thread needs to be deep-sixed IMHO.

As much as this is not my most favorite thread, I do not think it would be proper for me to deep 6 it.

I do think the poster above you should be sent to the brig.
