My power adapter was stolen from my luggage during a recent trip. They stole my camera, memory sticks, this power supply and computer cables but left the phone box.
It is 12VDC, 1A and I have rigged a short term substitute until I can get a new one.
So could someone with the Motorola VT1005v box, please post the model number of the AC power adapter?
Motorola supplied several different makes of power supplies with the VT1005 telephone adapter. Your replacement doesn't have to be the exact same model, but it does have to supply the exact same voltage at at least the same current level.
The one that came with mine was a Model PB-1120-1L which uses 120VAC, 60Hz input and supplies 12VDC at 1A (1,000ma).
For traveling and encountering AC power different than in the U.S., I got a Model PSA 15W-120 switching supply which can take 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz to supply 12VDC at 1.25A (1,250ma).
I wouldn't suggest purchasing a "good unit" from EBay. Vonage generally will not provision a used phone adapter. You could try purchasing the power supply from EBay - probably wouldn't have a problem there.
Good information link. I had not seen it before, but did search on the model ADP-15ZB and found that it is exactly the same as my PSA 15W-120. Most likely same maker just different distributor.
I definately agree with bmetelsky. You can get a good quality power supply almost anywhere, but be careful about getting a phone adapter from just anywhere.
