Mine is still not working, but it wasn't related to a time/date issue.
I went back and scrolled through our outgoing activity log to where it stopped working as reliably as it had from the time we got it the end of 2003. It was showing data on almost everybody who called up through May of 2004. (One exception was all Verizon cell phones. It's never been able to get data from them for some reason.)
The frequency of out of area, no caller id available, increases steadily from then until July/August and there's it been stuck. The last 13 calls to our home line brings 2 with names, 8 with out of area and 3 with "wireless caller." I'll keep trying to figure out the variables and as long as Vonage keeps trying to fix it, I'm good with that. But I hope we figure it out soon. This has been a long three months of troubleshooting! |

digitalaero,
Off topic, but voicemail cutting people off - I used to write voicemail software and anytime a voicemail system cut off a message, it was due to low volume from the caller. Have you tried testing it yourself? Voicemail systems often terminate messages after a set amount of time that volume is below a certain threshold (considered background noise). Try leaving yourself messages at varying volume levels.
As for Vonage customer service, at times it is good, and other times they ignore you. If I thought they have a widespread problem that they weren't aware of, I would take the time to call them. This problem with CallerId not working is a nuisance, but I'm not going to loose sleep over it.
