Enforced transfer to Vonage from prepaid annual contract with Freetalk.
Now I read arrangement fo rtransfer and assumed that Vonage would apply monthly charge and immediately credit that amount back to my account. A fairly simple internal accounting transaction I would have thought and of course they would debit my CC for the cost of any calls.
Seemingly not, what Vonage do is included monthly rental charge to your CC but then credit the monthly charge back to your internal Vonage account allowing your credit to build but at the sam etimw Vonage are increasing their actual coffers by amount deducted from your CC. Hard cash to Vonage..........
Personally I think this approach is somewhat underhand in so much as I am paying twice for line rental.
Anyone else in similiar position?
Cheers

I had this issue for the first month. They took money but no credit in any way whatsoever. After I spent about 30 minutes with the idiot supervisor who was rude I finally got my money back on the card.
They are now putting a credit on my account first and no money is being taken from my card for the monthly charge.
Best thing to do is ring up and shout hard until you get passed to a supervisor and then shout at him and as if by magi the problem goes away!!!
There are lots of things I miss about Freetalk too at least it used to work. With Vonage their much vaunted bandwidth changer doesn't work for me. Caller Display won't work and they can't get it to work and of course don't try ringing before 1pm as their call centre is in the US and most people you may want to speak to are still in bed and they have no UK setup to talk to.
