I find that non Vonage calls to my Vonage line work with caller ID fine, its when I am called by friends or family that have Vonage, and the last 3 digits are missing!

I would recommend you get in touch with Technical Support then. If it's a Vonage to Vonage issue, they can keep it in house and probably can make the changes necessary. Give it a try, please post your results.

On further investigation, the firmware update that happened at the end of March has made a difference. My phone now stores a list the last incoming calls.

However, the Caller Display still does not work when the phone is ringing - the phone just displays "CALL" instead of the caller's number.

Would you believe it, it's finally fixed!

Today one of the LEDs on the Motorola adapter was orange instead of green. Don't know if that means there's been an update or what, but -- caller display now works!!! Very Happy

Well done Vonage, only took you 8 months...

Like lots of others I have problems with caller id. I have a 2-line VTech. With landline only connected, caller ID works fine. With Voip connected, no caller ID on either line. Called VTech twice (two different techs). Official word: "VTech phones do not support Voip" with any of their phones not specifically stated as Voip phones.

That's what they say.

By the way, tried the same setup with a Uniden phone - worked fine,

Since transferring from Freetalk to Vonage in September, Caller Display has not been working. I see there are a few others who have experienced the same problem, despite the claim by Vonage that their service is "compatible with any Caller Display-enabled touch-tone phone or device."

Vonage technical support have unfortunately not been much help. Initially they would reset the line or do something to the account and say the issue was resolved (when it wasn't), eventually I got someone who said it could be my phone (VTech Mirage C112 DECT cordless phone). I told him that Caller Display worked fine on that model with Freetalk, but he said he had a troubleshooting checklist and that I should firstly try a different phone before he could do anything else.

So I went and bought a new phone - Binatone Fusion 2210. And it still doesn't work.

Any advice on what exactly I should tell Vonage support to get them to look into the issue seriously?

(My router is the Motorola VT2442)

I currently have the Binatone Fusion 2210...I have not signed up for Vonage yet, but if I do I have a feeling that they will send out the D-Link VTA...does anyone know if Caller ID works with the PAP2/PAP2T-NA etc...

I have now signed up, and am quite happy and getting to the stage where I think I will be getting rid of BT!!! WOOHOO!

I have the D-Link Adaptor, which seems to be working quite well. I have not checked on the Caller ID side as yet....will check it soon.
