I was just looking over the features of Vonage and they seem to have everything my local telco has, but for FREE.
They is one thing that bothers me though. CallerID block needs to be activated everytime I make a call if I want to use that feature? Unless I'm reading it wrong there isn't a way to activate it once and forget about it? |

Yep, you have to do dial *67 before the number per call if you want to block your number. The person on the other line will see "PRIVATE" |

Well, that's a major pain in the arse. Wonder if they are working on updating the system so that one can turn it on and off at will instead of an on call basis.
One can hope, right? |

I was reading that Packet8 allows this feature to be turned off or on for all calls just by doing it in online account manager.
Ugh! So, packet8 doesn't have the named displayed on their CallerID and Vonage blocking feature is only on call basis. This must be something that can be resolved somehow software wise on Vonage's part.
I remember reading when Vonage didn't have the name displayed on it's CallerID feature, but now it's available for all. I'm hoping they can do the same thing with CallerID blocking in the near future. |

I called Vonage to ask them about a line block they dont even have a clue as to how it would be done.
After having line block for last couple of years its a pain to always have to enter *67 every time for every call.
I hope they add it soon even if i have to pay a few bucks to get it better than dailing *67 every time in my mind |
