Been fine all day (for months actually). Now I get the subject message whenever I dial.
Charter Communications, 6Mbps download speed. |

This is weird. It only gives me the message if I dial the 860 area code. |

Same problem here. Just noticed it in the last 5 minutes, but also haven't made an outgoing call since about 4 hours ago.
My Vonage line is in the 619 area code, and I've noticed the problem dialing 858 and 760 numbers. ISP is Time Warner (former Adelphia).
On hold trying to get to tech support now. |

They say lots of people are experiencing the issue and that their engineers are working on it. |

Since 4pm EST today, we're getting this message in the 603 area code. No calls are going out. |

My calls to 760 and 858 are now going through again.

My biggest problem with Vonage tech support recurs: the technician I spoke to spent 15 minutes trying to determine if the problem was with my adapter, running the usual unplug/reconnect drill, trying a test call to me, and finally a test call to a number I told him I couldn't reach. Only then did he check the network status and confirm that it's a known problem. Why waste 15 minutes of his own time, and mine, when he could have just as easily checked the network status in the first place? Seems kind of silly to me.

Thankfully I've had to make fewer calls to tech support in recent months than I had in the past. |

Can't make any calls to any area codes, however I can receive calls.
Customer service told me a server crashed and it would be restored in 2 hours. 8:11p ET 11/17/06. |

The issue was resolved within an hour last night, now calls go through fine.
Too bad they didn't just post a "service announcement" on the web site, would have saved both them and me a phone call. |

I get this mostly when trying to dial freephone numbers in the US from the UK. |
