Post subject: Telmex and Vonage - is it any better now
A year ago it was posted here that Telmex was possibly choking any
VoIP
traffic. Anybody got an update on whether this is true and still a problem?
Thanks

For those who've never heard of Telmex can be
visited here.
Sorry Bonsvoeux it's not my place to hijack your thread but I've provided a link for those who've never heard of it. But other than that I can't help you out on this...

Post subject: Not the US Telmex but Mexico
I was asking about what Telmex is doing to
VoIP
in Mexico. The link you provided is the US entity.

Although not a fix, the best we can do is change the voice quality setting to Normal and their packet size to .30. Because TelMex is intentionally de-prioritizing
VoIP
RTP packets and that you need to complain to TelMex about this and/or find another ISP. Cable or Satellite ISP's may be a good choice.
