I will be moving next month to a new state, and would like to get a number there as my phone number. I would like to have the ability to port that number to someone else in the future. So this is what I was thinking of doing, signing up for a basic phone service with the Qwest the local phone company there, then porting that number to Vonage as soon as possible. My question is how long do I need to keep the service with Qwest to be able to port it out to Vonage?
Thanks,
David |

you could also contact vonage and ask for the availability of an area code in that state where you will be moving to.[numbers are computer generated, but area codes you can choose] |

it is pretty simple as long as you want to take a vonage number. it is as simple as calling and requesting to change your telephone number to that is suited to your particular locality.Hope that helps. |
