I've seen a few posts asking about Vonage service being used with Verizon FiOS. However I haven't yet found 1 that talks about both being used for voice. As odd as it may seem, I'm considering using both the voice service I have with Verizon FiOS and a new service line with Vonage. My FiOS line is being used for voice calls and faxing. I'm considering added a Vonage line using my FiOS connection for outbound calling & outbound faxing. My concern is if problems might occur when both phone lines are in use. Is anyone out there using both voice services? I'd like to hear your feed back. |

I can't speak from direct personal experience since Fios is not available where I live, but with the amount of bandwidth available, I cannot imagine that you will have issues with limitations.
I know of people in the past being able to use vonage with fios with no issues. it's worth a try. you can always cancel within the 30 days. |

I agree with Mundy5. Verizon's phone service will be completely independent of Vonage. In fact, with the amount of bandwidth you have with FiOS, you could use Verizon, Vonage, Viatalk, Skype, and a few others, all at the same time without issue. |

The FiOS POTS service is nothing to do with VOIP and therefore will coexist with Vonage without any issues whatsoever. There seems to be a common misconception that the FiOS phone service is a VOIP service and it simply isn't. |

I assumed he was referring to Verizon's Voicewing VoIP service over FiOS. However, reading his initial post again, I'm thinking that wasn't what he was talking about. |

No worries. Remember that the POTS conversation is different from a VOIP conversation. You'll be fine. I have FIOS and the VOIP test I can have 78 simultaneous VOIP conversations. Hilarious |
