I already have it assigned a static IP --- I'm using the DHCP services on my win enterprise server to associate the PAP2's MAc address with a static IP address.

not if DHCP is enabled on the box.
If it is, it will obtain an IP address from the DHCP server.

So you are actually just talking about the PAP2 LAN address, not the gateway address.

Wish you could do that pre V2.

i think there's a way to do a hard reset on the pap2 but i think you need to call them. the first pap2's didn't have a button on the back and suck, basically a paperweight if something goes wrong with it

It's easy enough to do the hard reset on the Pre V2 PAP2, but, again, once you do that, you can get into the web interface, but ONLY until the first time it talks to Vonage again, then it will again be locked out.
