I lose internet connectivity when the dmz is enabled on the vt1000v. My setup is cable modem > vt1000v > linksys router. Has anyone had a similar issue? |

I have the same problem, but i'm not using a router. also i cannot get my web server to work; w/o the Vonage modem it works fine. |

I also have this problem, because I was trying to have the internet pass through the VT1000v without it firewalling it, and instead have my router do that work because I need certain port forwarding for other applications, but I tried multiple setups and couldn't get the DMZ to work on the VT1000v. If anyone finds a remedy to this problem, let me know. davidauerbach@hotmail.com |

The DMZ on the Motorola doesn't work. I complained to Vonage and they sent me the RT31P2 Linksys (for free) which has much better routing/firewall capabilities. A few notes though, the analog call clarity is better on the Motorola, I had to put a filter on the Linksys because a radio station was coming through. This was because the Linksys uses less voltage to power the phone line(s) than the Motorola does. Also, as of Linksys firmware 1.24, the VPN passthrough does not work if you are hosting a VPN server. It will work if you need to make a VPN connection from behind the router out to a server on the Internet. |
