Hello,

I have the same problem as others have had where Line 1 and Line 2 blink simultaneously after about 5-10 seconds. Once in a while Line 1 will blink once after another 5 seconds, but the simultaneous blinking resumes immediately after. The router/switch functions work fine, it's just the phone portion that I'm having trouble with.

I've had the Linksys RT31P2 router since September 2005, and it's worked fine until last weekend. I called Vonage tech support and after they tried to work through it with me, they determined that my router is dead since it will not communicate with their servers when powered on. They recommended that I purchase a new one since it's past the 1 year warranty period.

I'm running Charter Broadband 1.5 down/128k up (I realize this is somewhat slow), but it's worked well so long as nobody else in my household is using the internet.

I really can't afford to buy a new $100+ router such as the RTP300 just so I can use the service that I've already been paying on for over a year. Has anyone been able to fix this same issue?

I've already read the following topics and have reset/power cycled everything including my D-Link DCM-202 cable modem multiple times to no avail:

It sounds like the verdict is already in on the RT31P2. However, if you haven't already done a full reset on it, you should try that. Hold in the reset button on the back for about 30 seconds. Then power it down and back on again.

what i could advice is you call TS advanced (again) and if results still "router is dead", ask if they could give you some credits or something since youv'e been a Vonage customer for a year (?).
although i myself havent tried that, never encountered problems with my devices. Smile (whew) thats just a suggestion.see if it will work out.
