Just wondering which Vonage handset people are using and if they are any good ?
Anyone care to give any feedback on what they're using good or bad ?
Thanks. |

I disagree Che
Vonage have admitted that not all touch tone phones are compatible with their service for the Caller ID feature. I'm using a Freetalk branded touch-tone phone (I'm an ex-Freetalk customer who moved to Vonage and not able to determine the original manufacturer of the handset) which works well with BT for Caller ID (and worked with Freetalk), but wont work with Vonage for Caller ID and they have given up trying to get this working.
Their advice is if you are buying a handset, keep the reciept and take it back to the shop if it doesnt work. |

Im getting an outbound caller ID problem with my Panasonic dect, Vonage have acknowledged the problem is with them and have said 'they are working on resolving the issue'...
If anyone is using a decent dect, that currently works with caller ID BOTH ways do let me know what it is as I may try that too.
Cheers. |

I believe outbound caller ID is a function of the exchange dealing with the call rather than the handset, otherwise all your phones would need to support it. The issue with outgoing caller ID must be between Vonage and the recieving network.
The problem I have with incoming caller ID is down to incompatibility between the caller ID systems that my phone supports (which include but are not limited to those used by BT and the Voip provider 8x8) and that used by Vonage, which Vonage are not able to and/or willing to resolve for me (and have recommended buying a compatible handset without giving any information on what handsets are tested for compatibility).
I know that my BT Studio handsets work fine with Vonage with Caller ID. |

For info, although I think I've posted this elsewhere, and not sure how useful this info is (I doubt whether the average sales person in a UK electrical shop will understand this) a phone needs to support the ETSI FSK With PR(UK) caller ID method. |

I recently bought the first ever DECT phone I've ended up liking. Its the BT Esprit 1250. Seems to work ok with Vonage. |

We shelled out £80 for a twin handset phone a year or two ago that works fine on Telewest. I will not buy another set of phones under principle. |
