Will my multi handset phone work with Vonage?

I've recently relocated due to a new job and I'm considering signing up with Vonage for my phone service.

I have the following phone:

Panasonic
KX-TG2357B
2.4 GHz FHSS GigaRange® Dual-Handset Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering System and Talking Caller ID

When I had a regular landline I was able to plug my second handset into the wall jack and it worked perfectly. The base station and handset will be plugged into the Vonage adapter box using a cable modem. If I go with Vonage will I still be able to plug the second handset into the wall jack? This phone is designed to be used with up to 2 headsets.

Any info or advice is greatly appreciated....

Hi, We have had Vonage service since the end of August. We have a VTech 5.8Ghz 5881 multi-handset system with 4 handsets. The base is connected the Vonage Motorola adapter and it works just fine. The only problem I'm having (and why I came to this forum) is that caller ID is not being pushed through to the phone reliably.

With Vonnage you will never plug into a traditional wall jack at all. Furthermore, with your multihandset system, only the base unit will plug directly into the Motorola device via the line 1 RJ22 port. The 2nd expansion handset will not require any physical connection to the Motorola device or anything else. In fact, if this is a dual handset system, the base is the only unit that would have required a physical connection to the traditional phone wall jack.

If you do not have a expansion type phone system and each phone requires a physical phone line connection, then you can either plug the 2nd line into the 2nd port on the Motorola device or purchase a wireless phone adaptor that will plugs into an AC outlet anywhere throught your home.
