Hello All, It seems as if being on the forum is your best bet for help with your Vonage problems. Since I have exhausted alll other options(Vonage Customer Service) I am now goin to see if anyone of you can help me, so heres my problem. I new to this whole Vonage system, right now I have to VTech 8100P series. I need to get to the 192.168.15.1 page and for some reason the page keeps coming up blank with nothing in it. Am I doing something wrong or is this an existing problem going on with Vonage. Please Help If you can. Thanks, T |

be glad to help.
-->during installation you (because of DSL) are required to enter a username and password (PPPoE) to access the Internet, and you may be required to enter a specific IP addresses if you have a static IP address. Before you begin, be sure to contact your Internet Service Provider to obtain this information. |

well I disconnected it because it wouldnt allow me to obtain the internet. But when I do set it up...I have the yellow PC/Lan cord connected to my laptop and the Blue Wan cord connected to my modem. The base is connected and then it's plugged in. I set everything up and i'm still not able to connect to the internet. When I spoke to the customer service people at Vonage they told me that the Vonage device is acting as a router so I need to get to the 192.168.15.1 page and change the setting from Dynamic to PPPoE. |

If that does not work, try deleting and reloading Java. http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp
How do I go out about doing this and seeing if this wrks? |

Boot the computer to Safe Mode with Networking! http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222
If it works in safe mode then a piece of security software, like Norton Internet Security, is blocking the network address. |

you should be able to get to the VTech ip address with your laptop connected to the VTech phone. Don't even bother connecting to your modem for now. Simply have your laptop -> LAN port of your Vtech and type in the address 192.168.15.1
This will get you to the VTech web configuration.
Make sure that you are connecting the laptop only to the VTech and that they are isolated from the modem.
hope this helps, mundy5 |
