I had been using SimulRing since starting Vonage service a few months ago, and really liked being able to get my home calls on my cell phone. Then I also set up Call Forwarding when I went on vacation. When I came back from vacation, I discovered that I can't turn off Call Forwarding without turning off SimulRing, and vice versa. There is no way to remove the Call Forwarding number from the web page. Even if I'm on the Call Forwarding tab and click Disable, then go to the SimulRing and click Enable, the summary at the top of the page indicates that Call Forwarding is not in operation, however when a call is placed to my Vonage number it is still being forwarded instead of picked up by Vonage's voicemail. I've contacted their customer service by email and they've been no help. Anyone else have this problem or, better yet, been able to solve it? |

Only one works at a time, so if you go over to simulring, and save your settings, the simulring will work, in essence simulring will turn off call forewarding and call forewarding will turn off simulring, turning off call forewarding calls off both. |

Unfortunately, even when I turn SimulRing on, which I agree should turn off Call Forwarding, calls ring both numbers at the same time (which I want), but then if neither phone is picked up, it goes to my cell phone's voicemail, not Vonage's (not what I want). |

It's merely a timing issue why your cell phone is receiving the voice-mail before your Vonage line. Your voice-mail greeting on your cell phone is shorter than the voicemail greeting on your Vonage line, thus your cell phone will receive the voice-mail first. |

if what is actually happening is not what it says in the "Current Settings" section of the call forwarding settings, enable the voicemail / then disable it (or vice versa) this will rewrite the callflow |

I'm getting closer to a solution. Unfortunately, there's no way to delete the call forwarding number and saving. I've tried and it just gives you an error message and tells you to put a number in. But cutting the Vonage voicemail pick-up time down to less than the voicemail pick-up time on my cell phone did the trick. Vonage picked up first. Unfortunately anything more than 20 seconds and the cell phone picks up. So now I'm off to a different forum to see if I can figure out if I can get my cell phone to let it ring longer before voicemail picks up. Thanks for the suggestions. |

Your Number 1-(555)-555-5663
Current Settings Will ring both your Vonage number and the following numbers simultaneously: 15555552530 If unanswered for 20 seconds, will forward to Voicemail. |

Do exactly this:
Delete the call forwarding number from the Basic Call Forwarding tab. Click the Simulring tab Click save settings. Then paste the resulting call forward settings here. |
