OK. I did exactly as instructed. Got a message that said settings were saved, however if I flipped back to the Basic Call Forwarding tab the number I'd just tried to erase was still there. (And same problem as before if I tell voicemail to pick up after more than 20 seconds.) |

The number stays, you need to look at the call flow at the top.
For instance, mine says:
[My Phone Number] Is set to ring for 15 seconds before being forwarded to [My Cell Number]. Voicemail is disabled. |

The call flow is the same before and after "deleting" the call forwarding number:
Will ring both your Vonage number and the following numbers simultaneously: 155555552530 If unanswered for 20 seconds, will forward to Voicemail.
This is what I'd like it to do, except that I'd like it to ring longer before going to Voicemail. However, if I put the time at more than 20 seconds, my cell phone's voicemail picks up first. This didn't happen before I originally set it to forward calls and only had Simulring set up.
BTW, thanks so much for trying to help. |

Your cell phone voicemail is picking up before your Vonage VM. you would need to change that setting with your cell phone vm. if you're able to set VM off or more rings, the Vonage vm will get it. I personally prefer it to go to my cell VM so I have my Vonage vm off. |

If I didn't like my voicemails emailed to me, that's exactly what I'd do too since it doesn't look like T-Mobile's service/Motorola's Razor has an option to let it ring longer before picking up. Still don't get why this wasn't an issue from the beginning though. Use to work fine! Who knows? Maybe T-Mobile changed their voicemail service to pick up sooner. Thanks again. |
