Is there a way to turn on Call forwarding to a number in Europe? It only seems to allow for a US number only. Is there something I have to enable to do this?
What I would like to do is either have all calls go from NY to a number in Switzerland, or Simul-ring the number in NY and Switzerland.
If not, any suggestions?
Thanks |

u can forward incoming calls to a US (including Puerto Rico) or Canadian number of your choice. Switzerland? i dont think so. but if its a Vonage line in Switzerland, yes u may.
here's how:
1. Log on to www.vonage.com 2. Using your user name and password, log in to your online web account. 3. Click the "Features" link on your Dashboard. 4. Go to the Call Forwarding section. 5. Select the line for which calls will be forwarded. 6.Click the Configure button. 7. Select the number of seconds the phone will ring. 8. Enter the phone number to where calls will be forwarded. 9. Click the "Activate" button. 10. For Multiple Numbers with SimulRing click the SimulRing Tab. 11. Enter up to 5 numbers you wish to have you Vonage line ring to. 12. Click "Enable" to activate the Call Forwarding. hope this one satisfies. do inform me. |

jml1124 wants to dial a Switzerland number, not a US number of a Vonage device located in Switzerland. |

The reason I heard was for cost of the call. Since the person receiving the call would be charged an international rate, the fee would add up.
I did read once, and cannot find the post, that you can forward (if you have unlimited service) to countries that are offering "free calls" to that country.
If I am incorrect, someone will say so. |

Stanaphone and voicestick both have free accounts whcih will permit international call forwarding. They will give you US numbers which you can program to ring abroad. Tell your Vonage box to simulring these numbers. |

Check the fine print. International call forwarding outside their network is not free. |
