my Vonage service no longer requires the use of 1 and the area code within my own area code....anybody know why?

Get out. I missed that memo, I guess. Did they send out a notification? We've got our phones set to autoformat everybody we dial just about and would never have figured that out on my own. that's why I missed the forum. |

I don't think they sent anything , but there might have been a notice on the web site. Even though Vonage lets you do 7 digit dialing within your own area code, there is a delay in connecting. I usually just dial 10 digits anyway, I'm used to it since we've had to dial 10 digits, even calling next door, for several years now. |
