Well . . I'm impressed.
I ordered the 500 minute plan on the Vonage website on Thursday October 26, 2006. I received the equpment today, Monday, October 30 and installed & configured during the afternoon using the Quick Setup instructions. Absolutely no problems at all, and was up and making calls in about 10 minutes. The call quality is excellent . . . much better than the previous carrier I had for the last 20 years.
And to top off a GREAT experience . . . I just received an email that my number was successfully transferred as of midnight. That's 4 days, two of which were the weekend. That's just . . .. well . . . excellent.
I hope the rest of my experiences with Vonage are as pleasant as the order process, install and number transfer was. |

We've ported two numbers to Vonage, from Qwest. The first one took 7 days (I think), and the second one, completed today, took 6 days. Very easy process. We have been very very happy with our Vonage service, and have had good results using their customer service when we had a small snafu on one of our lines (no stutter tone for voicemail). |

the moment you send back the LOA...and Vonage sent it to your carrier, your waiting time will actualy depends on your old carrier not with voane coz Vonage will be very happy to port over your number and they will do the best the they can to port it over.. |

I agree... Vonage would be real excited getting the number for you, that's why they're offering to get it for you. The one holding back the number would be the previous carrier - of course, logically, they wouldn't be too happy losing another customer to Vonage's superior features, cheaper rates, etc.
The whole LNP process is theoretically sound, and could be done in a week. It's only when the other companies use legalities, and other details to hold the numbers - that's when number transfers take (nearly) forever. |

I love Vonage... Their service is fast! I ordered Vonage the Wednesday before thanksgiving and the number transfer went through in like 4 days! However, they said that it would take 20 days minimum, but thats just one thing that they need to change on their website because, now that my line is up and running, I am stuck with two phones working in my house - I planned to use the 20 days to figure out how to wire my alarm system with Vonage and buy the stuff that I need.
Besides that, when I first picked up the phone, I was EXTREMELY impressed at the quick response and clarity of the line. Before I switched to Vonage, the dial tone would take 3 seconds and line quality under average. But now, it comes on in a milisecond and quality is above my expectation. Thanks to you Vonage! |

Just recently signed up to Vonage Canada on Nov 25th after a wrestle with my current ISP provider to get their Voip Services was just a pain. Either way I signed up to Vonage on a Friday Night and I checked the status of my order for the Phone Adaptor the next day and it was already processed and shipped. Therefore Monday morning I had the device first thing. Took me all but two mins to setup and get it online since I already prepared my house for a complete Voip switchover weeks in advance. Mind you I have DSL so I had to switch to a Dry loop and carefully plan it so theres no real interruption in either services. which to say my ISP did very well So well I didn't even know that it was done when Vonage emailed me on Dec 5th that my LNP Transfer was completed. Not bad 7 Business days I can't complain at all. Very Impressed with the service so far. very Stable and calls much clearer then with old Telco. |

Being an employee of Vonages Tech support it is great to read that people are happy with this product. All I know is if Vonage keeps improving there product, I might be out of a job or siting around like the Maytag repairman. |
