I notice the price increase, but I'm willing to pay it. I never have problems with my service and other people in the condo's where I live have verision and are always complaining of droped calls, shotty servce, I have been with Vonage for 8months and no trouble what so ever the $3.00 more is worth it, they are still the lowest.

What a crock of sh*t THAT is! So we're all assessed a fee just to make sure the po' folks can have telephone service or Internet access?!? That's baloney. More Socialism in disguise. Mad

I give to charities; I'm far from wealthy myself; I believe in helping others; etc. However, I do NOT like it when I'm ordered to pay money to those who don't have something that I myself have. How long until we're all ordered to pay fees to ensure everyone gets HDTV, for example?

I agree with the previous Posting.

One week before my dismissal from Vonage Holdings Corp., I donated $200 to St. Jude's Childrens Cancer Research Hospital.

My donation is valid and will be paid.

I DARE Vonage to Match my donation by making a donation to St. Jude's in the amount of $2,000.

And, if I win my suit against Vonage, I will make a donation in the amount of 10% of my settlement to St. Jude's.

I have a family history with Danny Thomas (1960), founder of St. Jude's.

Vonage Holdings Corp. is NOT A ST JUDE'S merchant.

A statement made by Danny Thomas in 1960 to my father was, "Don, I will do everything that I can to make sure that NO CHILD should die from this horrible disease!"

Let Vonage put Their Heart where their Money is!
Sincerely,
Roger W. Faulds

PS
Please donate to St. Jude's. No child will ever be turned away, not ever. (Quotation of Robin Williams, and many other celebrities)

PPS
If a parent cannot pay, the child is still accepted for treatment, and the parents are provided with temporary housing while thier child is being treated.

Wow, Danny Thomas, St. Jude's and lawsuits...

How did this thread get so far off topic?

Please, no one answer that, just keep it on topic with "Have You noticed in increase in your Bill".

Thank you,

Yes, once again it has risen. Taxes, the state of NY is one of the most taxed state in the nation. 2.52 a gallon for gas...in NC it is 1.99. If there is a way to tax the residents of the state of NY our politicians will find it.

I'll agree. I was reading the news the other day and apparently making mandatory fees are becoming a trend to milk more money out of consumers. If you have the chance, visit www.fairtip.org.

That is a site dedicated to getting a mandatory 20% tip charged to your bill every time you eat out. Why is this a suggestion? Because more people are trying to make a career out of serving tables. A job that needs no education and no skill to do.

So I agree about these ridiculous fees being added, at times, randomly for whatever reason the Magic 8 Ball deems worthy that day.

Also, I myself, am not a Vonage customer. I'm a Vonage Support Tech and i see these bills creeping up. And sometimes, it doesn't make any sense. Sure, some if it is taxes, but there have been a few fees that had increased for no reason. So being a Vonage employee, I have to see the blatant robbery of a few pennies here and there for no good reason and then have to explain to irate customers that I don't see why their bill is getting bigger.

I feel it is the responsiblity of Vonage or any telephone service to inform the customer to a upcoming rise in payment. Whether it be a increase in services or a mandatory ripping off of the tax payer. We as customers have the right to be informed prior to billing. No one could provide an excuse that would be acceptable for any company to NOT inform the customer of a increase in payment.
I am a customer of Vonage for over 2 years I have NOT received notification that there was a increase in my monthly bill. It is so cheap compared to what I was paying I really did not pay attention. To be quite honest it is NOT about the $$$$$ it is about policy and principle.

Again, I agree. If I knew about the changes, I would have made them know before they happened, but since I am not even informed of new devices or firmware upgrades or new services, it's damned hard to provide a pre-emptive warning to customers.

I feel Vonage should post these changes on their website or email a notification to customers. A consumer wide notification would be acceptable to me as far as notification of increases. That and the reasons behind the increase and complimenting documentation proving the need of the increase.
