hey all...anybody know what the second jack on the MTA is for? i get nothing when i plug a phone into it.....anybody else use it? |

The 2nd line is for a second line or a dedicated fax line. |

and what page in the manual would that be on? |

Installation and Troubleshooting Guide, page 1 of the troubleshooting section, under "I have no dial tone", solution number 1 ".Check to make sure the phone is plugged into the proper port on the Digital Phone Adaptor. Use phone port 2 only if you have ordered more than one line." Also on page 2, under "My phone does not ring/ my calls go to voicemail automatically, solution number 1, same as above.
Also, if you go online and search throught the FAQ's at http://vonage.com/help.php you should be able to find more references to the second telephone jack (or port) on the MTA |
